5. Who Won't Win Block B?

Block B doesn't have the star-power of Okada or Tanahashi, but what it does have is 10 men who are going to put on some of the most consistently impressive professional wrestling you will see all year. There isn't a weak link in the entire block when it comes to match quality.

Okay, I lie, there is a weak link. Toru Yano is a comedic wrestler who usually wins via low blows, but always seems to be there or thereabouts. Yano won't win the block, but he'll probably beat Shibata only to get his face kicked off at a later date the NEVER Openweight Champion.

Block A gives us Kojima and Makabe, whereas Block B's vast experience comes from 'Blue Justice' Yuji Nagata. He'll put on great matches, but won't win too many. He'll likely win more than Tomoaki Honma however, whose G1 Climax record over the last two years reads played 19, lost 18.

YOSHI-HASHI more than deserves his spot in the tournament, but the CHAOS middleman will most likely finish towards the bottom of the block. Staying with the block capitals, the tournament will be a coming out party for EVIL, but he won't win the block either. What he will do is scupper the chances of Tetsuya Naito's rivals.

Katsuhiko Nakajima rounds off this list, the second participant from Pro Wrestling NOAH. He'll impress, but the middle of the table beckons.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
