Fantasy-Booking A WWE G1 Climax
2. The Final
The final of the G1 Climax is one of the most high-pressure situations a wrestler can find themselves in. Three weeks of gruelling block warfare amongst some of wrestling's top talent all leads to one showdown between the men lucky enough to top each block. Rarely does anyone blaze through their block competition, meaning they have strove as much as anyone to be in position to move onto the finals.
Making it there is a huge achievement in and of itself. In the past ten years, only ten different men can call themselves G1 finalists, highlighting the faith the company must have in them to put them on that stage.
The G1 Climax 26 final featured an epic bout between the gaijin upstart Kenny Omega and 'always-the-bridesmaid' Hirooki Goto. Both men were hugely worthy of the Wrestle Kingdom main event, with fans split down the middle as to who they believed would go on to challenge Okada.
Our hypothetical WWE G1 final follows suit, with both men in touching distance of the upper echelon. More importantly, Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura are both skilled enough in the ring to tell an epic final story, one worthy of rounding off such a prestigious tournament.
