World Cup Tag Team Turmoil

Bo Dallas last competed on TV at WWE’s Saudi supershow Crown Jewel back in 2019. As part of a nine-team elimination match, it was evident that Dallas and his B-Team partner Curtis Axel were not going to trouble the other teams too much.

The B-Team took on The New Day after the latter had just knocked off Heavy Machinery. Commentary did the jobber team no favours highlighting their recent lack of success as they rushed to the ring. Dallas barely featured in the bout before he was thrown through the middle rope, with Kofi diving onto him. Dallas wasn’t seen again as Axel fell victim to the Big Ending.

Throughout his inactivity, fans continued to Bo-lieve that Dallas would return, often fantasy-booking him in a role alongside his brother Bray Wyatt. Shortly before his release, there was even online rumours and speculation that ‘The Fiend’ who competed at WrestleMania 37 was Bo and not Bray. This was mainly an impulse reaction to the reviled Wyatt Vs. Randy Orton match. Still, his successful brother and Hall of Famer father mean that Dallas still has roots in WWE.
