WWE Hall of Famer Tammy 'Sunny' Sytch recently spent 10 days in hospital, having been brought in due to what she described as "long-term nagging issues" on Saturday 30 October.

Sytch first broke the news in the following post made to her Facebook page on 5 November:-

Hey everyone. Just wanted to update you all on why I haven’t been online. I’ve been in the hospital since last Saturday, sick since a few days before that. I thought I would have been discharged by now, but things keep coming up that need testing and I may be having a procedure. I’ll probably be here for a few days more, while they try and diagnose every issue. Please respect my privacy at this time… and I appreciate your support. These details will be kept private, but they are long-time nagging issues that need to be dealt with and fixed so I can stop coming back in pain every 18 months or so. Thank you again… I’ll update you on my progress once I know more."

The former Sunny revealed the following day that her gallbladder may need to be removed pending an MRI, though better news followed on 8 November, as she confirmed she had returned home.

A major star for WWE throughout the 1990s, Sunny was a legitimate needle mover for the promotion during one of the most important periods in its history. Despite this, her mainstream wrestling career largely unravelled after she was let go in July 1998, though Sytch was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April 2011.
