With this week’s WWE SmackDown taking part on Christmas Day, WWE opted to record Friday’s festive edition of the company’s blue brand action yesterday.

WWE has been promoting Friday’s SmackDown hard, with three major titles matches already announced for the show as the Universal Championship, Intercontinental Championship, and Women’s Tag Team Championships will all be defended.

As picked up on by WrestlingINC and first reported by @SherrodJones4, this week’s SmackDown looks as below:

- Roman Reigns retained the Universal Championship against Kevin Owens in a Steel Cage match. KO was handcuffed to the cage by Jey Uso, which allowed Roman to exit the cage for the win.

- Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka & Charlotte Flair retained the belts in a triple threat contest featuring the teams of Bayley & Carmella and SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair. Flair hit Belair with the Natural Selection to grab the victory.

- Daniel Bryan defeated Jey Uso with the Running Knee.

- The main event saw Big E topple Sami Zayn to become the new Intercontinental Champion after hitting the Big Ending in what turned out to be a Lumberjack Match.
