Chris Jericho will face off against Ortiz in a Hair vs. Hair match at the upcoming AEW Dynamite Road Rager event.
Hot on the heels of Le Champion's bald spot being made the butt of many an insensitive joke coming out of Double or Nothing, the wrestling veteran appears to be using this scenario to double-down on his new fondness for all things Sports Entertainment.
A few days removed from an Anarchy in the Arena match that saw the Jericho Appreciation Society come out on top against the Blackpool Combat Club, Eddie Kingston, Santana & Ortiz, William Regal's challenge of a Blood and Guts match between the two warring sides was ultimately met by rejection from the JAS leader. Without skipping a beat, Ortiz then proceeded to chop some of the former AEW World Champion's hair off with scissors during a brawl, leading to the Demo God accepting the aforementioned stip war if he was gifted a Hair vs. Hair contest against Ortiz in two weeks time.
With Jericho's willingness to do the follicle business on the night and subsequent leaning into the swell of social media bald digs being sent his way, it does feel as though a skinned Wizard is almost an inevitability at this point.
Road Rager will take place on June 15 in St. Louis, Missouri, with Blood and Guts set to go down on June 29 in Detroit, Michigan. But will Ortiz or Jericho be walking into the hellacious structure sporting a new do?
