How Sasha Banks Became The Boss

We have Summer Rae to thank for The Boss.

Sasha Banks Summer Rae

Sasha Banks is arguably the most popular female competitor on the entire World Wrestling Entertainment roster today, and WWE has posted a video to their YouTube channel showing the exact moment everything began to click into place for The Boss.

Banks was originally a fairly shy and well-to-do vanilla babyface, but all it took was some excellent manipulation from Summer Rae to bring out Sasha's nasty side.

After a hard-fought loss to then-NXT Women's Champion Paige, Banks snapped and attacked the anti-diva from behind. The rest, as they say, is history. Banks would join forces with Summer as the BFFs (Beautiful, Fierce Females), and their entourage would grow a month later when Charlotte joined the ranks.

All of this seems a long long time ago, and as we head to Battleground this Sunday, Sasha Banks finds herself in need of a tag team partner to go up against former partner Charlotte and her protege, Dana Brooke.

Most are speculating that former-NXT Women's Champion Bayley will be the one to step up to the plate alongside The Boss, but the catalyst for it all (Summer Rae) also finds herself on RAW after the draft. Could this be the first step towards a return for the BFFs?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
