Eddie Kingston has revealed that he has been suffering from an undisclosed stomach issue while recovering from the injuries that have sidelined him since May 2024.

Speaking with PWInsider, Kingston quipped: "S*** is hard and when it rains it pours. I f***ed my stomach up from stress and I am waiting for results, then back to physical therapy."

"I got new insurance that costs an arm and a leg," he added. "In the meantime, all I am watching is ECW TV, All Japan from the 90's and New Japan from the 90's - and everyone else should be watching this s*** too."

Kingston, 43, has not wrestled since NJPW STRONG Resurgence 2024 on 11 May 2024, where he lost the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship to Gave Kidd. His last AEW appearance came at Dynasty 2024 on 21 April of that year.

Eddie has already overcome a setback or two while fighting back from ACL and meniscus tears, and a tubular fracture. Last May, Kingston told PWInsider that barring changes to the expected timeline, May 2025 would be the earliest he'd be able to return. Doctors had advised that the tubular fracture needed to heal before they could focus on his knee issues, hence the hold-up.

For now, Kingston remains one of the most notable names on AEW's injury list.

This week also saw Eddie appear on the Wrestling With The Narrative show, where he stated that "It's been tough to get physical therapy because of my insurance. I just got new insurance and then right when I was ready to start my new PT place, I started getting stomach issues. I had to wait a long time."

Fortunately, Kingston revealed that his stomach issues were "nothing serious" as he is still awaiting results. Having undergone a gastroscopy, his doctors have told him it isn't cancer or an ulcer, but when his doctor asked if he'd been stressed, Kingston said: "How long do you have, do we need a therapist to come in here?"

But despite saying that physically and mentally, he "feels like s***", Eddie said that ultimately, he is doing okay.

WhatCulture wishes Eddie all the best in navigating his recovery process.
