Impact Wrestling Confirm Sacrifice As Next Impact Plus Special
13 March will mark the Sacrifice pitstop on the road to April's Rebellion pay-per-view.
With the aftermath of Saturday's No Surrender special still fresh in our minds, Impact Wrestling have confirmed their next Impact Plus special to be Sacrifice. That goes down on Saturday, 13 March.
Sacrifice had previously been a regular fixture on Impact's pay-per-view calendar from 2005 to 2012, and then again in 2014 for one year only. Following this, it became a special Impact Wrestling episode for 2016, and then, most recently, an Impact Plus special last February.
Previous incarnations of the event have seen a plethora of the world's greatest in-ring combatants compete, ranging from Jushin 'Thunder' Liger to Hirooki Goto to Chyna. Yes, really, the same Chyna who had made herself a household name during the Attitude Era as the no-nonsense bodyguard for D-Generation X.
As well as hosting these talented performers, Sacrifice is notable for a few big moments in Impact Wrestling history. Samoa Joe won the second Super X Cup tournament in 2005, while the 2008 event played host to the Deuces Wild tournament to crown the inaugural TNA World Tag Team Champions alongside the infamous Steiner Maths promo.
Although no matches have yet been confirmed for the 13 March show, don't bet against any sort of involvement from recent Impact debutants and former IWGP Tag Team Champions, David Finlay and Juice Robinson.
