IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary 2021: 10 Things That Must Happen

4. W. Morrissey Wins In Under Five Minutes

W. Morrissey should defeat Eddie Edwards at Slammiversary. That's a solid fact. He should, however, do so in five minutes or less.

This wouldn't be a case of Eddie jobbing to the seven-footer, either. Instead, this would act as a way to get Morrissey further established as a legitimate threat to the IMPACT roster. That he wrestles in jeans rather than proper wrestling gear gives off the vibe of a general thug out on the streets. You need only watch his dismantlings of Willie Mack, Rich Swann, and indie goobers to comprehend this.

By booking the former Big Cass to go less than seven minutes with a former two-time World Champion, you're instantly telling the live audience that Morrissey is going to be a big deal in the company for the foreseeable future. He's already beaten two former X Division Champions in Swann and Mack, with the former also previously being a World Champion.

Your writer has been a huge admirer of IMPACT's treatment of the guy thus far. They've positioned grander than WWE ever did. The success he and Enzo Amore had in NXT meant literally nothing when the time came for their main roster call-up. In IMPACT, however, everything they've done with him has been splendid.

He absolutely must destroy Eddie at Slammiversary.
