John Cena Repeats WrestleMania 34 Challenge To The Undertaker

WWE's resident free agent had a lot to say on Raw...

John Cena again challenged The Undertaker to step up and accept a match against him at WrestleMania 34 on this week's episode of Raw.

Cutting an impassioned promo in-ring, Cena didn't quite sell the same level of disappointment he had just 24 hours earlier at Fastlane; there, after losing a Six Pack Challenge match and realising that AJ Styles was still WWE Champion, Cena looked inconsolable and even palmed away one of WWE's cameras.

By contrast, he was all smiles on Raw and used self-deprecation (John himself encouraged a "Cena Sucks" chant) to bait 'Taker into a 'Mania confrontation.

WWE have left this a little late. If it was the plan all along, and there have been hints of Cena vs. The Undertaker for a good while now, then it's an interesting strategy to use "The Deadman" as a last-minute desperation act from Cena.

Elements of Cena's promo, including claims that 'Taker isn't as old or fragile as he thinks, were debatable. Last year against Roman Reigns, the legend cut a pained figure and struggled his way through the 'Mania 33 main event. It seems WWE don't want that match to be The Undertaker's last.
