7. Michael Tarver Claims Cena Injured Him And Laughed About It
Story: Do you remember Michael Tarver? He was a member of the original Nexus group after being a part of NXT Season One. He was a part of the first NXT season in early 2010, then he was part of the group's invasion against John Cena in the summer of 2010 and he was out of the company about a year later due to a number of reasons with the main one being that he wasn't very good. Once he got fired he did all kinds of interviews. He made a lot of noise specifically when he talked about John Cena. Any time somebody dished the dirt about Cena it made news because of Cena's position as a top guy in WWE. Tarver made the claim that Cena injured his arm. At first he said it was on purpose, but then he backtracked a bit. This is from Michael Tarver in July 2011: "I never said John Cena broke my arm on purpose. I did say he carelessly swung a chair at my head and I had to put my arm up and it fractured my arm. He knew I was hurt backstage because when I went to shake his hand he laughed and walked past me and then stopped and said 'how's the arm' and laughed and walked away. That's what actually happened." That paints the picture of Cena as an inconsiderate guy instead of a leader of the locker room. Why People Believe It: People that don't like Cena will always try to point out his faults, so they might want a story like this to be true. Should We Believe It: Probably not. It's unlikely that Cena intentionally tried to break his arm or that he targeted his arm when he hit him with a chair. Cena laughing at a guy that was hurt also seems unlikely. There's a chance that Tarver could have been adding to the story just to get some sympathy since he was fired by WWE.
