6. Kenny Dykstra Blames Him For Ending His WWE Career
Story: Kenny Dykstra (real name Ken Doane) was a promising young WWE performer that started on WWE TV in 2006 when he was just 20 years old. His first appearances were actually when he was still 19. He's one of the youngest full time members of WWE's roster in the history of the company. He stood out as part of the Spirit Squad as the biggest guy in the group and somebody that appeared to have the most potential as well. By the time he turned 22 he was gone from the company. It was very odd. According to Doane, he's gone from WWE because of Cena. He claims that Cena started dating former WWE diva Mickie James, who Doane was seeing at the time. Doane ended up getting moved to the Smackdown brand in July of 2007 and he really didn't accomplish much there. By November 2008 he was released. Here's how Kenny explained it in some tweets back in 2012: "He was messing with MJ so I got moved to Smackdown so they could further mess. I jobbed, got fired. When MJ got crazy because he wouldn't date her, she then got fired. Weird biz huh?" He later explained why he didn't say anything sooner: "If I spoke out it would have ruined my chance of returning to WWE. Now I'm set with what I'm doing and don't care if I get banned." Cena hasn't publicly spoken about the topic. It's not his way. His private life is kept private unless it airs on Total Divas. Why People Believe It: It's pretty odd that a guy like Doane was fired by WWE even though he clearly had a lot of talent. Something had to have happened for them to act like that towards him. Should We Believe It: It's one of those 50/50 things. It seems possible that Cena had an effect on what happened with Doane although there are other sides to the story that we haven't heard, so nobody is going to know for sure. Doane may claim that he's not bitter about it, but obviously he is since he was fired when he was only 22 years old and never brought back. If he had no problem at all, why say anything? It seemed like he was just saying this stuff to get attention more than anything.
