In the post-pandemic world, WWE will hopefully rethink how it books house shows to make the most of the option to tour without breaking the mind, bodies and spirits of its performers.

Shorter tours but booked in bigger buildings (while the novelty factor ensures steady ticket sales) creates a roster reacclimatised to working in front of audiences, particularly if those crowds know they're getting one of the rare 2021 John Cena appearances.

A prevailing issue on television by early-2020 was a distinctive lack of atmosphere in the arenas, and it was grossly impacting the overall output. WWE's content era had done a number on real life enthusiasm, but the promise of at least one major star and a revved up rest of the roster could make house shows louder than your average Raw or SmackDown in the coming month.

That's not to say Cena's premium material won't be saved for when the cameras are rolling. That's the main reason for his return after all...
