Kevin Nash has hit Twitter to defend WWE's COVID-19 testing protocols, doing so in response to a screenshotted article titled "Is WWE trying to kill Ric Flair?", who recently returned to the promotion on a full-time schedule despite his age (71 years old) and noted health problems.

Speaking from his own personal experience, Nash said the following:-

There's no word on when, exactly, Nash would have been on WWE property for testing, his own positive test result would have almost certainly scrapped any plans.

The reporting on Drew McIntyre's recent positive test result revealed that WWE wrestlers are required to test negative the day before television tapings. McIntyre tested positive on Sunday, hence his removal from this week's episode of Raw.

WWE has come under much fire for its handling of the ongoing global health crisis, having failed to implement clear protocols until several months into the pandemic. A mask order wasn't issued until July, almost four months after the promotion's first empty arena show, so while it's relieving to hear that the promotion is no longer running a sloppy shop, the initial criticisms still stand.

NXT wrestlers at the Performance Center have claimed they are only being tested once per week, despite working full-time training schedules.
