Kevin Owens Challenges John Cena For WWE US Title

He also attacked rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

Kevin Owens was the subject of Michael Cole's WWE.com interview this week and he made it clear that he wants a match for John Cena's United States Title. This is the first time that Owens has publicly said that he wants to take the US Title from Cena. He noted at the end of the interview that he originally said he didn't want it, but now he does because he felt disrespected by Cena after their awesome Money in the Bank match. He added that sometimes people change their mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVz14n9SjBc Owens also discussed the situation with rapper Machine Gun Kelly on Raw when he gave him a Powerbomb off the stage and through a table. When the move happened, they never showed the actual landing because it was pretty soft and would have more impact for the audience at home without seeing the landing. For the storyline, Owens was fined for the incident and also told to apologize, so he did that on Twitter. MGK replied laughing about the whole thing, which has upset some fans because he really didn't sell it much after the move happened. https://twitter.com/machinegunkelly/status/610672143500709888 Cena didn't appear on Raw or at the taped Smackdown event, so we won't hear from him likely until next Monday. Since both he and Owens have each won one match, it makes a lot of sense to do a rubber match for the US Title.
