"Fight Forever!" **clap clap, clap clap clap**

There was a reason the crowd in Dallas, Texas were chanting this.

Obviously, the WWE debut of Shinsuke Nakamura was always going to be special, but I don't think that anybody saw this type of match coming.

I feel as wrestling fans that we have become numb to the 'spotfests' that fill many a card. Chants of 'this is awesome' used to be earned as short as four or five years ago, but today they're handed out willy nilly as the superstars we love go far and above their call of duty all too regularly.

Obviously, I'm not complaining that certain WWE performers are throwing their bodies around like footballs on a taping of Main Event and the like, but this match shows they are maybe sacrificing their bodies a bit too much when they shouldn't be.

The pacing and the action in this match just meant so much more than any dive to the floor ever could. Every forearm looked absolutely brutal, every kick looked like it could take a rib out. Don't get me wrong, Zayn and Shinsuke got their more flamboyant sh*t in, but this was a throwback and I absolutely loved it.

That Nakamura arm bar... positively orgasmic.

I like a modicum of realism to my wrestling - despite being as big a Big E fan as you'll ever see, I know - so this was right up my street.

Strong style and WWE do mix well. Who would have thought it?
