Kurt Angle’s 6 WWE SummerSlam Matches Ranked Worst To Best
5. 2000 Vs. Rock Vs. Triple H
In the summer of 2000, love was in the air for Kurt Angle. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were on-screen married at this point but a certain man of Intensity, Integrity, and Intelligence was turning what they had into a complicated love triangle.
Before WWF Champion The Rock came to the ring to start the match, the two challengers started a vicious brawl that ended with Triple H hitting the Pedigree onto Kurt Angle on an announce table. The table even broke dangerously too soon, adding a little bit more drama to the mix.
The Rock finally came out to defend his title and most of that work was against Triple H. Angle was stretchered to the back and didn't come back until Stephanie asked him to come out to help out Hunter. He agreed to aid the little lady but eventually attacked Trips as well.
Triple H would punch his wife in the face as the love triangle story would prevent both he and Angle from defeating The Rock on that day. The Rock gave the People's Elbow to Hunter and pinned him while a lifeless Stephanie laid nearby.
This was a fun match that had a ton of story packed into it but it rated fairly low on this list simply because Angle was absent for a big chunk of it, due to the fact he suffered a real concussion. Still a great one, though.
