This AEW star is currently dealing with an injury issue.

Eddie Kingston was forced to pull out of DEFY's YEAR6 show over the weekend due to an unspecified injury.

DEFY took to Twitter to announce that the Mad King was unfortunately having to miss last night's event, though the promotion noted how they'll be having Kingston back at some point in the future.

This injury is hopefully nothing too major, as Eddie is still advertised to face Jay White at New Japan Strong's Battle in the Valley PPV in San Jose, California next Saturday. While Kingston has yet to publicly comment on any injury issue, he has been active on Twitter to throw shots at Switchblade ahead of next weekend's contest.

For those who may have missed it, Switchblade lost a Loser Leaves Japan match against Hikuleo at yesterday's NJPW The New Beginning event. In response to White's post-match promo declaring the New Zealander now has nothing else to lose against Kingston, the AEW man responded by promising to take the Catalyst's health.

Elsewhere at Battle in the Valley next weekend, the full, stacked card reads as follows:

- IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi

- IWGP Women's Champion Kairi vs. Mercedes Moné

- NJPW World Television Champion Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Clark Connors

- NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Fred Rosser vs. KENTA

- NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Champions The Motor City Machine Guns vs. West Coast Wrecking Crew

- Jay White vs. Eddie Kingston

- Tom Lawler vs. Homicide in a Filthy Rules Fight

- Josh Alexander, Mascara Dorada, Adrian Quest & Rocky Romero vs. Kushida, Volador Jr., Kevin Knight & The DKC
