Following recent reports that he was set for a big 2026, there's now an update on the contract status of WWE's LA Knight.

While some fans speculated that the Vision's attack - well, various attacks - on Knight on this week's Raw could be part of the Megastar being written off TV and out of the company, similar to what happened to Ricochet at the hands of Bron Breakker last year, that is not the case.

Per Fightful Select, Knight isn't leaving WWE any time soon, with several years remaining on the deal he signed with the market leader back in 2024. When the outlet reached out to people within WWE about this topic, those people were confused about some of the recent outrage surrounding the former United States Champion.

This Fightful report also addressed those rumblings that LA Knight has backstage heat for showing a fan's "We Want LA Knight, Not Jey" sign on TV earlier this year. Fightful has "repeatedly" been told that this was and is, essentially, a non-issue, and that it would be a "weird punishment" to have Knight then beat Jey Uso in the semi-finals of The Last Time Is Now Tournament last week.

As for what lies in LA Knight's immediate future, that remains to be seen, but the way he was brutalised by the Vision on this week's Raw would certainly indicate that the hugely charismatic star is set for at least a short spell off TV. Given those reports of LA being planned for big things in 2026, he could well be in the running as one of the favourite's for the men's Royal Rumble next month...
