Roman Reigns will make his return to WWE TV for the first time since the episode of Raw directly after WrestleMania 39 on next week's SmackDown.

There's no word yet on exactly what the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion will have to say, but he's expected to line up an opponent for the upcoming Night Of Champions pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia on 27 May.

Roman has been kept off this weekend's Backlash PLE. That'll be headlined by either Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar or a 'San Juan Street Fight' pitting Bad Bunny vs. Damian Priest. In the interim, Reigns has been enjoying some time off with his family.

He's back next week.

Nobody really seems sure what's next for Roman or The Bloodline following the recent WWE Draft. The company confirmed that Reigns and his troops would be staying put on SmackDown, but there are question marks over what Triple H's creative team plans to do with the fact that Roman is walking around with two World Titles (with a third World Champ set to be crowned soon).

Perhaps that'll play into the megastar's speech on Friday night.
