Taking to X, AEW star MVP has hit back at claims that the Hurt Syndicate have been difficult to work with in AEW or have outright refused to lose to certain talents.

Such claims resurfaced on social media again over the weekend, including claims that, amongst other things, Bobby Lashley refused to lose to Swerve Strickland, that MVP told Bobby and Shelton Benjamin to say no to losing certain matches, and that MVP has heat backstage.

In a series of X posts, MVP called such talk "BS" and "absolutely untrue".

It's been somewhat of a strange year for the Hurt Syndicate in 2026, having not wrestled once on AEW Dynamite, having had a handful of squash matches on Collision, and most recently teaming with Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall on the All In pre-show back in August.

Of course, 2025 saw Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin hold the AEW Tag Team Titles for 214 days, and the two decimated a whole bunch of tag teams during that run, being positioned as two of the top guys in the entire promotion.
