Karrion Kross and NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar's upcoming match on this week's NXT will now be played out under No Disqualification rules, according to General Manager William Regal.

Taking to Twitter to break the news regarding this impending war, Regal also specified that Escobar would be stripped of his title and suspended should he no-show the match as he did last week:

"In consideration of the difference in each competitors 'interest' in their match I’ve decided to raise the stakes. @WWEKarrionKross vs @EscobarWWE will now be a #NoDQMatch & if our Cruiserweight Champion does not participate, he will be stripped of his title & suspended. #WWENXT"

Escobar and Kross were set to thrown down last week, after the former had provoked the former NXT Champion on numerous occasions in the lead-up to their eventual clash. However, 'The Emperor of Lucha Libre' had other ideas, avoiding the contest via a pre-recorded message after claiming that "no one threatens Santos Escobar". The Wrestling Observer Radio, though, would later reveal that the match was called off due to an undisclosed medical issue, with Dave Meltzer expressing surprise that the showdown was only delayed by a week.

Hopefully the pair are both fit to battle on this week's episode of the black and gold show as the two contrasting stars will no doubt put on a compelling contest, bolstered by the additional stipulations added to the bout.
