NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10 - Everything You Need To Know
8. Toru Yano & The Briscoes Vs. Bullet Club
Up until recently, this match was billed as Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga and Yujiro Takahashi or the Bullet Club going up against Toru Yano and two mystery partners. The smart money on the mystery partners was either on a call up or two from Pro Wrestling NOAH, a returning star or even a Young Boy ready to step up. Nobody expected the Briscoe Brothers. For those who are unaware, Toru Yano is NJPW's marmite man, in that yes, you either love him or despise him. A comedy man for the most part, Yano seems to spend more time shilling DVDs than taking part in matches, and his finishing move these days amounts to either a low blow or a hair pull. As for the Bullet Club, this is the second year in a row that Fale and Takahashi are involved in a throwaway six man, and I suspect the result to be the same this year. Yano and the Briscoes to come out on top, as Tama Tonga continues his sneaky development into a fantastic worker.
Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
