Popular WWE Star Told Management They Could FIRE Them If They Weren't Over In 3 Months
This super hot WWE star was confident they only needed three months to make it happen!
LA Knight told WWE they could fire him if he wasn't over with the crowd after his first three months under contract.
The 'Megastar' is currently one of WWE's hottest stars, regularly producing the biggest pops of the night and seemingly being on the cusp of a big push from the company.
And while his meteoric rise may have caught many fans and a number of backstage WWE figures off-guard, Knight himself was always confident it wouldn't take him long to make an impact in the world of sports entertainment.
In fact, as the star revealed in a recent conversation with Dave LaGreca on Busted Open Radio (via POST Wrestling), he boldly told WWE during his early days with the company that if he wasn't over with crowd after his first three months appearing on NXT, they should "get him out of there":
"When I first came back in 2021, I said, ‘Look, here’s the deal,’ I said, ‘If you feel like I’m not getting over after three months, get me out of there.’ That’s how confident I was that just in a short amount of time, I’m gonna make this happen. I know how to do this. I’ve been around it long enough to make that happen and you know, I had a little more help in NXT at least as far as billing and the way I was kind of used and whatnot. It’s been a little bit more of a struggle up here but somehow, some way, here we are."
Sure enough, it didn't take long for the one-time Million Dollar Champion to connect with the developmental audience, and he quickly got himself massively over with the main roster crowd, too... after he was allowed to drop that dodgy Max Dupri gimmick.
LA Knight knew it was his game on day one, and was confident the WWE fans would quickly agree.
