Predicting Every WWE/NXT Champion At WrestleMania 33
5. Intercontinental Champion - Apollo Crews
Cesaro should win the Intercontinental Championship when he and The Miz meet at Payback.
However, after a long and fruitful run with the championship round his waist, The Swiss Superman should then be allowed to ascend to the main event scene while creating a new star in the process.
Apollo Crews' reaction on RAW last week proved that his amazing moveset won't be enough to get him over in the eyes of the casual fan. Despite it being just his second televised appearance as a main roster star, the Los Angeles Crowd didn't so much as get out of their chairs for the man.
It was sad to watch.
WWE need to spend the next few months establishing Apollo's character. NXT fans got a glimpse into his past upon his arrival in developmental, but there is clearly room for a lot more development there.
Just as long as Crews doesn't find himself in a cape, he should be OK...
Speaking of capes, how much do you want to see Neville (who should be back in the ring soonish following that ankle injury suffered on RAW a few weeks ago) and Apollo tear the house down and potentially steal the show at WrestleMania 33?
I know I do.
