Ranking 10 Most Likely Candidates To Win Their First WWE World Title

1. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens is destined to be a world champion in World Wrestling Entertainment.

Whether this comes with him as a heel or a babyface is almost irrelevant, he'll win it as both at various points in his career. Owens is in a fascinating position right now, a true heel in a world of grey tweener types, and the forthcoming WWE brand split and draft offers him an opportunity to be the number one bad guy on whichever brand he ends up on.

Many had Owens down as a potential surprise winner of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament last winter, and he also sat pretty as the only other man to get any sort of logical support ahead of last week's Money in the Bank ladder match. Owens is clearly booked in a position of strength.

If WWE does indeed go back to the world of two top championships, Kevin Owens is going to find himself near the front of the queue for one of them, and his first ascension to the top of the mountain will be an emotional moment for sure. I for one can't wait to see how his kid reacts on YouTube.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
