Ranking All 2015 WWE PPVs From Worst To Best

9. Payback (May 17th)

Best Match: Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton Worst Match: Naomi & Tamina vs. The Bella Twins Fresh off the heels of the disappointing Extreme Rules comes another massive letdown in Payback. Only the third event of its name, the show once again featured a group of rematches that were well past their expiration date. The John Cena/Rusev feud had been dragging on for four months at that point and the two men had nothing left to give each other, in addition to the audience having already tapped out on their investment. New Day took on Tyson Kidd and Cesaro in yet another technically solid bout that just served to highlight how shallow the tag team division was at the time, and Ziggler and Sheamus once again went to war and had...a match. The Ascension - who had/have no business on PPV - put forth a funereal performance against Curtis Axel and Macho Mandow and the divas match once again stunk up the joint. Naomi seems like a great person but she's the worst worker in the division and it really shows on these pay-per-view cards. The best contest of the night was easily the fatal four-way for the WWE world title, where Seth Rollins managed to retain by pinning Orton thanks to some interference from Kane. Not a bad main event but full of the usual overbooked Authority nonsense that dragged Seth's entire title reign down.
