12. UK Championship - Tyler Bate

Tyler Bate could and should have been the man to carry the United Kingdom Championship in the manner Pete Dunne eventually did, for all it mattered in the grand scheme of things.

Defeating the 'Bruiserweight' in a fabulous finale to a fabulous tournament, Bate appeared equal to Dunne in every aspect before a Chicago switch proved his British Strong Style mate a slightly smoother all-rounder in the role.

In hindsight, the company were obviously keen to break an age record by strapping the then-19-year-old Brit. They got what they needed from him before his slight visual alterations no longer married up with their idealised version of him as Champion.
