Title: World Heavyweight Championship

Match Time: 9:08

Another short one, this triple-threat steel cage match actually opened the Royal Rumble PPV, putting on an entertaining sprint to fire up the crowd for the rest of the night.

Having the diminutive indy darling in with two physical behemoths of the industry allowed for a match that was both well-balanced and comical at the same time.

The constant cat and mouse between an elusive and creative Bryan, with the contrast of two lumbering Goliaths made for intense viewing.

Will they catch him? What will they do if they can? How can Bryan survive? Will Henry and Show run over each other?

It was genuinely up in the air right up until the former Danielson slipped through Big Show’s grip, falling to the floor and his victory.

It was simple storytelling done right.

His title retention here would take him to WrestleMania, taking on Sheamus for 18 infamous seconds.
