Handicap matches are rarely remembered as all-time classics, but then again, most handicap matches don’t tend to feature an array of talent like this once-in-a-generation meeting from WrestleMania XX.

With the team of Ric Flair, Batista, and Randy Orton representing Evolution against Mick Foley and The Rock, this one sticks in the mind more for the sheer spectacle of the occasion than anything else, as well as some of the rare confrontations it produced, the most notable of which being Flair vs. The Rock.

It was far from a two-man show, though. Orton, having initially played more of a supporting role in the match, eventually came into his own and at one point was seconds away from pinning The Rock in what was his first-ever WrestleMania appearance. And though 'The Great One' managed to kick out at the final moment, Orton made amends moments later when he instead pinned Foley—and Mr. Socko—off the back of an RKO for the win.

Of all that Hall of Fame-tier talent, the fact that it was Orton who scored the decisive pinfall made this a major high point at what was the earliest stage of his WrestleMania career.
