Ranking The Futures Of WWE's 9 UK Tournament Entrants
2. Pete Dunne
At one point, Pete Dunne actually took the number one slot on this list. Undoubtedly, he was the heel who made the biggest impact during the WWE UK Title Tournament. In crafty fashion, those penning the tournament didn't write every villain the same. Dunne stood out because of this.
Others such as Jordan Devlin had their own heel moments, ones ultimately paling in comparison to the heads Dunne managed to turn with his portrayal of a vicious thug who would stop at nothing to win. Attacking Sam Gradwell at the end of night one, Dunne was held back by William Regal and had everybody talking.
Matches against Roy Johnson and Gradwell laid the foundations. By the time Dunne stepped foot in the ring against real-life friends like Mark Andrews (semi finals) and Tyler Bate (in the final itself), he was on fire.
It's incredible to think Dunne is only 23 years old, as he already looks like a good fit for WWE. If not drafted straight to the main roster then NXT surely beckons, and the 'Bruiserweight' has a lot to look forward to over the next few years.
