Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Attire Every Year 1990-2021

25. 1997 - Hollywood Hogan

Bret Hart Young Bucks
WWE

Hollywood Hogan elicited a strange, unsettling sensation through his very look.

There was, simply, a quality of wrongness to it. He was the Hulkster, and that he'd spent so long - too long - clad in the red and yellow informed the weight of a turn he went all in on. His black beard was as grizzled as f*ck.

Sting looked incredibly cool and iconic, yes, and it would be far more preferable to put a human being of his standing over - but he didn't completely shatter one's perception of an entirely transformed industry to every awestruck channel-hopper.

Hogan did: his work looked as naff as ever, but he embodied the lucrative, transgressive edge that changed everything.
