For some reason, WWF thought that there was an appetite for another pay-per-view only six days after Survivor Series 1991, where The Undertaker won his first WWF Championship from Hulk Hogan, with some assistance from Ric Flair.

Their 1991 feud made a star of ’The Deadman’, but Hogan and 'Taker was not a combination which put on the type of match that fans wanted to pay for twice in a week.

Hogan regained his title after opening The Undertaker’s urn and throwing ashes in his eyes, only to be stripped of it a couple of weeks later to set up the Royal Rumble match for the vacant belt - the one positive legacy of This Tuesday in Texas.

Strange timing choices plagued the undercard. Jake Roberts versus Randy Savage was the shortest match on the card while Repo Man’s tag match got 11 minutes.

The poor buyrates of approximately 400,000 deterred Vince McMahon from attempting another Tuesday pay-per-view until Taboo Tuesday in 2004.
