On the November 25th episode of NXT a brief video aired promoting the pending return of Sami Zayn to the promotion. The popular star has been out of action since suffering an injury during his debut Raw match against John Cena back in May. At first it was speculated that the promoted return would be nothing more than appearances, but now we have a confirmed date for his return to action. The long-awaited reemergence of one of the most promising stars in NXT will take place during the tour of the United Kingdom, which kicks off this week. Zayn is scheduled for a triple threat match against Baron Corbin and NXT champion Finn Balor this Saturday in Sheffield, England. With Sami being an active member of the roster for the tour, he'll hopefully make his return to TV on the Network-exclusive TakeOver: London event set for December 16th. After suffering the shoulder injury during the match with Cena, Zayn managed to tough it out long enough to face his arch-nemesis Kevin Owen at TakeOver: Unstoppable before taking time off for surgery and rehab. His return couldn't come at a better time for NXT as they've been suffering from some of the same problems as the main roster - although to a much lesser extent - with many of their top guys being called up and leaving them with a bit of a talent vacuum in the main event. It's hard to imagine Sami Zayn will spend too much time in NXT as he's clearly ready for the main roster. WWE needs new stars badly and he could easily fill that void and become an immediate top babyface.
