What does WWE have planned for the Hardy/Sheamus feud on Friday?
WWE appears to have taped a potential divisive segment involving Jeff Hardy and Sheamus for this week's episode of SmackDown.
Sportskeeda's Gary Cassidy broke the story on Wednesday, stating the following on Twitter:-
Per the writeup, Hardy and Sheamus will engage in "one of the most controversial contract signings in WWE history" on SmackDown, with Renee Young hosting the proceedings. It is noted that Sheamus will be accompanied to the ring by a man in a labcoat and a bunch of security guards. 'The Celtic Warrior' will then protest stepping through the ropes with a "junkie," demanding that the tag wrestling legend takes a piss test.
Said piss will then be thrown in Sheamus' face as the contract signing concludes. Eww.
Hardy and Sheamus will wrestle at Backlash 2020 this coming Sunday. They have already been involved in one highly controversial angle recently, with WWE bringing Jeff's real-life struggles with alcohol into play for a show-opening scene that saw Hardy framed for an incident involving an injured Elias and a car. Officers on the scene claimed he smelled of alcohol. The storyline is almost certainly being ran with Hardy's consent.
