Sting To WWE Deal Is Still Not Signed

Sting signing with WWE is close to being done but still isn't official. Two sources very close to the situation have told the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that it's simply a case of "dotting the i's", which implies it could end up a done deal at any imminent point. The reason for the delay in signing the deal is unknown. It has been on the table for some time now but as of a few days ago it still wasn't resolved - despite the signing being imminent from before even WrestleMania. An informal understanding is obviously very much in effect between WWE and Sting. The fact he appeared as a 'talking head' on the Network Warrior documentary is indicative that he is pretty much on the inside of the company apart from his signature. Indeed, the Stinger is already scheduled to take part in more projects for the Network, with further interviews in mind. That doesn't necessarily mean anything substantial however, many people who get interviewed for the Network aren't under contract - but with Sting appearing on a WWE broadcast and having a WWE contract on the table you can assume that relations are very good between he and the company. The deal is probably going to get formalised soon but there was no official agreement in place when Sting appeared on the April Warrior tribute. The Sting to WWE saga rumbles on for now, but nobody is seeing the delay as an indication of the deal not getting done. We expect him to be officially in at any time soon.

Grahame Herbert hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
