‘Skype Call’ Steve Austin has quite the ring to it, no?

Ahead of tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, the official Instagram account of World Wrestling Entertainment has announced that the legendary Texas Rattlesnake will be appearing on tonight’s broadcast… via Skype.

As per this Instagram post, Austin will be giving his thoughts on last night’s SummerSlam main event that saw Seth Rollins defeat Brock Lesnar to once again become WWE Universal Champion.

The last time we saw Stone Cold on Raw, of course, was only a matter of weeks ago when he appeared as the star attraction of the Raw Reunion extravaganza.

There had been some speculation that Austin may appear on Raw in order to promote his new Straight Up Steve Austin show that just so happens to be debuting tonight directly after Raw. In this new series, the Bionic Redneck will sit down each week with a celebrity guest and shoot the breeze.

One such person who’ll be shooting said breeze with the Hall of Famer is Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch – with her appearance on Straight Up Steve Austin to come a little later in the show’s debut season.

It only seems logical that Austin’s Skype appearance tonight will see the multiple-time World Champion given the chance to plug his new show, and he’ll surely have some entertaining things to say about last night’s Rollins vs. Lesnar bout.
