The Rock's 10 WWE World Championship Reigns Ranked From Worst To Best
6. WWE Championship (4th) 30 April 2000 - 21 May 2000
The Rock’s fourth reign as WWE Champion wasn’t bad, but it could and it should have been so much better.
Back in January 2000, 'The Great One' won the Royal Rumble Match by last eliminating The Big Show, but Big Show was added to the title match at WrestleMania as footage showed Rock’s feet hitting the floor first. Then Mick Foley was added to that match as well, making a four-way elimination match between Rock, Show, Foley and the champion Triple H… which Triple H won by pinning Rock in the end.
The 'Brahma Bull' eventually defeated Triple H in a singles match for the title at Backlash, but it should’ve happened at WrestleMania in the first place. Just 21 days later, The Rock lost the title back to Triple H in a sixty minute Iron Man Match with Shawn Michaels as the special referee. The win came thanks to The Undertaker, who returned from injury and attacked Triple H, giving 'The Game' a 6-5 victory and costing 'The Great One' his championship.
Again, not that it was bad, but sometimes simple is better.
