One never forgets their first and for the Undertaker, his first WWE Championship came just a year into his stint with Vince McMahon's promotion and at the expense of the legendary Hulk Hogan. While the crowd was still largely in favor of the Hulkster, the cheers for his opponent were still more noticeable than at any point prior. The match was fairly bad but Undertaker proved he belonged in the same ring as an icon such as Hogan. Interference from Ric Flair and a Tombstone onto a steel chair ended Hogan's third title reign and gave Undertaker his first. It would last mere days as Hogan regained the title in controversial fashion at the first, and only, This Tuesday in Texas show. The events of the two matches would lead to Jack Tunney vacating the title and announcing that the Royal Rumble match would crown a new champion. Undertaker's title victory could have meant more than it did.
