The WORST Wrestling Moment Every Year (1989 - 2025)

1. 2025 | Travis Scott Interferes In The Main Event Of WrestleMania

Travis Scott’s presence at Elimination Chamber was inexplicable, but effective in the worst way imaginable, if that makes sense. That John Cena would align himself with such an odd interloper underscored that he had in effect turned his back on WWE.

That was until Scott injured Cody Rhodes in the infamous Cena heel turn angle, which was stupid, could have been disastrous, and was very negligent on WWE’s part. Scott, barely trained if at all, was entrusted to work with the biggest star in the company.

Alongside the Rock, Scott immediately disappeared from WWE screens. If Cena’s heel turn was the next iteration of Hollywood Hogan, this new New World Order was disbanded after night one, not even lasting as long as nWo 2000. Cena, alone, not that that was any justification, started to waffle on about a toxic relationship with the fans, even though they had universally loved him for going on five years. Elimination Chamber felt like a weird fever dream.

Scott returned at WrestleMania 41, sans Rock, who apparently couldn’t be arsed, making Travis a sort of living version of the egg at Survivor Series 2021. The weird guy who was at Elimination Chamber for some reason that you ignored because the angle was otherwise great dictated the fate of the WrestleMania main event. He was rubbish in the role, he took forever to do it, and “it” was a routine ref bump spot. Paul Levesque apparently got starry eyes and heart flutters because a real celebrity wanted to do something with WWE.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
