TNA Star Re-Signs With The Company
X Division wrestler Zema Ion agrees multi-year extension.
TNA continues to no-sell their current television situation and general future, as the company continues to sign talent for the long hall. TNA's Executive Vice President John Gaburick announced via Twitter today that the promotion had come to terms with a multi-year extension with X Division wrestler Zema Ion. The 27-year old Ion has been with the company for three years, first appearing in June 2011, before signing a contract the following month. Last year it seemed as if Ion and TNA were at odds, as the company didn't pay for an emergency surgery that he needed. A fundraiser was later started on GoForward to help raise money for the operation. Ion is a former X-Division champion, who recently has been affiliated with the BroMans, a team consisting of Robbie E and former Big Brother star Jessie Godderz. Ion has filled in for Robbie E of late, who has been busy filming an upcoming season of the Amazing Race, which will air on NBC. Although he's been featured prominently on Impact weekly, Ion, who know goes by DJ Z, hasn't won a match on the program since November of last year, with his last singles win on the show coming in January 2013. Ion has yet to comment publicly on his contract extension.
