4. The Leader Of The Authority
At SummerSlam 2013, Triple H turned on Daniel Bryan to form The Authority. For the first time in seven years, HHH was a heel once again, and he and his wife began to run Raw with an iron fist.
Even though Triple H was ostensibly doing the same thing he was when he was a babyface COO (dressing down talent and whatnot), the whole thing felt more honest. Plus, the fact that his heel antics consisted of standing in the way of the ascendant Daniel Bryan made for a pretty compelling storyline.
Granted, the whole Authority gimmick went on way too long (it could still be going on, depending on what happens when HHH inevitably returns), and things progressively became less interesting. In the end, Triple H had abused his power (let's just say I'm talking kayfabe) to rack up a 14th world title and a 7th WrestleMania main event, putting over Roman Reigns.
Still, those early months - when HHH feuded with Bryan and later, The Shield - were pretty compelling.
