UFC 247 Predictions

1. Jon Jones Vs. Dominick Reyes

Ever since his debut back at UFC 87, Jon Jones has been one of, if not the most dominant forces in the sport. The UFC light-heavyweight champion has defeated everyone in his path, broken a number of records while doing so and rarely even given fans or opponents a glimpse of how he could be defeated.

One of the most impressive things about Jones is his consistency. If you look back through his record, he's decimated two different generations of light-heavyweight contenders and now he's onto the third generation of new challengers and it looks like he might do the same again

This isn't to say that his opponent, Dominick Reyes, is terrible. The recently turned 30-year old has shown plenty of promise during his time in the UFC, knocking out tough opponents like former middleweight champ Chris Weidman and Jared Cannonier in the process. His piston of a right hand and fantastic footwork have made him a dangerous opponent for everyone else he's faced. However, as we already know, Jon Jones is different to anyone else we've ever seen.

Although Reyes certainly has the potential to be a champion, it'll only be when Jones inevitably moves up to the heavyweight division and relinquishes his hold on the 205lbers. There's a seven-and-a-half inch reach advantage and that's simply going to be too much for Reyes to handle during this fight.

Jon Jones via unanimous decision
