Which AEW Stars Got A WWE Bonus Thanks To Shawn Michaels?
Two of AEW's finest couldn't believe it when Shawn Michaels went out of his way to help them.
The Young Bucks told Wrestling Inc that Shawn Michaels went out of his way to help them when they showed up for a WWE tryout years ago.
Both brothers were skeptical when Marty Jannetty said he'd text Shawn and ask him to take care of them. To their immense surprise, "old school referee" Jesse Hernandez waved them over to the table Michaels was sitting at in catering and introduced them.
He'd been given the memo from Marty too.
Nick and Matt Jackson couldn't believe it - they were starstruck, and worried that they might be coming across as a little too fanboy-ish. Shawn put them at ease though, and even went above and beyond to secure the siblings a little extra cash.
HBK personally took them over to Sgt. Slaughter, who was handling pay offs for the rookies that night, and asked if there was any chance he could throw a bonus their way. Sarge did, which is something The Bucks will never forget.
They were blown away by how friendly Michaels was, and almost felt bad that they'd rolled their eyes when Jannetty claimed he could help them out.
