WWE: 10 Best Jumps From The Top Of A Steel Cage

4. Mankind vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley - SumerSlam 1997

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zb_WGjoKOsU As an admitted Foley fan for life, this one sticks out to me personally because it was a moment where we got to see a little more Mick and less Mankind in the ring. The feud between the faces of Foley and HHH was epic, lasting several years and costing both a lot of blood, sweat, and other various body parts. It was the blue blood from Connecticut, along with his bodyguard Chyna, versus the demented, deranged, pain loving Mankind inside the blue bars of the mid-90's WWF steel cage. The match was hard fought from the beginning, with Chyna interfering several times on behalf of Hunter, including a low blow that led to a big suplex off of the top of the cage that rocked Mankind and left him incapacitated for several minutes. There was a lot of brawling and a lot of throwing each other into the cage, and both men were worn out by the time the end of the match came about. Another moment in this match worth noting is something Foley goes over in his first book. As Mankind is leaning out of the cage to escape for the win, Chyna slams the steel door into his head, forcing him back in. However, the door actually hit Foley hard in the top of his head, and you can see on video of the match that he is rocked pretty good and kind of rolls back into the ring. The shot had Foley out on his feet/knees for several seconds before he was able to recover and pick the match back up. And pick it up he did. After blocking a Pedigree and hitting his own Double Arm DDT onto a steel chair, which was introduced to the match by Chyna, Mankind began making his way up the cage wall. He was on the outside and making his way down for the win, when he heard the crowds chants of "Superfly", referencing his childhood hero Jimmy Snuka (and a moment also on this list). He took off his mask and made his way back to the top of the cage. Tearing his shirt open to reveal a Dude Love-esque heart on his chest, Mankind took off with a big elbow drop from the top of the cage that allowed him to get the win over what would become his long time rival, HHH.
