WWE: 10 Candidates To Be The New Raw General Manager

5. Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels retired from the ring following his loss to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26, but that hasn't stopped him from making several appearances over the years. His last stint with WWE came in the fall of 2013 when he was named the special guest referee for the WWE Championship match between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. Given his history with both competitors, Michaels' involvement in The Authority angle was intriguing and made sense within the context of the story. At the event, Michaels did the unthinkable when he double crossed his protege Bryan, helping Orton win the WWE title and turning heel the process. The next night on Raw, Michaels explained his actions by saying he attacked Bryan only because he ambushed his best friend Triple H. This led to Bryan securing HBK in a "Yes!" Lock, forced him to tap out and scored a measure of revenge over his mentor. Michaels had brief run-ins with CM Punk and Bryan in the months that followed but hasn't appeared on WWE TV much since. Whether Michaels is a face or a heel is still unknown, but what's clear is that his bond with Triple H is still as strong as ever despite their dispute on the October 21 Raw. If The Game were to name Michaels the new general manager of Raw, it wouldn't be the first time that he'd be an on-air authority figure. He served as the WWF Commissioner for a few years following his first retirement in 1998, so he has the experience of being a former head of the flagship show on his resume. The chances of HBK landing a regular role on Raw as the show's GM are slim given HBK's endeavors outside the wrestling business, but it's still a fun idea to entertain. As Raw General Manager, he could reunite with his old DX buddy Triple H and potentially even The New Age Outlaws (if they ever make a return, that is). Plus, he could resume his rivalry with Bryan and make life miserable for the WWE World Heavyweight champion. The possibilities are endless as to what HBK could accomplish if he were given the reins to Raw.
