WWE: 10 Most Disappointing Things About WrestleMania 30

5. The Influence Of Triple H

Triple H is a big superstar brand, and could quite easily return as a full time wrestler. Nonetheless, he has chosen to become a high profile corporate player and so his role change should naturally be reflected in his absence on the Wrestlemania 30 match card. Unfortunately it is becoming increasingly apparent that Triple H has not respected the clear line between corporate Paul Levesque and the in ring Cerebral Assassin. On the March 17th edition of Monday Night RAW, we were told that WWE fans could potentially witness two Triple H matches at Wrestlemania against Daniel Bryan and if victorious against Batista and Randy Orton in the main event. I am not convinced that this is fair or makes sense for Triple H to insert himself into the spotlight at Wrestlemania, when for the remainder of the year he spends his time strutting around the WWE suited and booted as its Chief Operating Officer. There is little doubt that his personal relationship with the McMahon family has rewarded him with an influence over the WWE in terms of creative direction but that same influence should also burden him with a responsibility to make certain that he does not exert his influence to promote Triple H at Wrestlemania instead of the roster upon which the WWE exists for the remaining 364 days of the year. Therefore it would seem that Triple H has not only stunted the progression of Daniel Bryan in the run up to Wrestlemania and meddled in a Bryan WWE World Heavyweight Title Wrestlemania bout, but his appearance on the match card rather disappointingly smacks of ego rather than sound creative judgement.
