7. Kurt Angle
http://youtu.be/_R306rxKRNs Kurt Angle always carried in his WWE tenure characteristics of a face superstar. However, for the first few years of his career he would put an arrogant spin on these in order to be a cocky, over-bearing heel, rather than an Olympic Hero. But, with the start of the wars between the then WWF and the WCW/ECW Alliance, Angle, along with the rest of the superstars on the side of Vince McMahon. However, with Stone Cold Steve Austin joining the vindictive spawn of the McMahon family, Angle seized the opportunity to stand out from the rest of the WWF locker room by making himself the prime contender for the Rattlesnake's WWF Championship. The crowd, who for the past few years had despised the egotistical gold medal winner, were turned in his constant and unwavering pursuit of gold that was held by the Alliance, with the ovation he received after defeating Booker T for the WCW Championship on an episode of Smackdown almost blowing the roof off the stadium. Although Angle was still one of many who received much fanfare following the start of the WWF vs. Alliance war, alongside the Rock and Chris Jericho, it was remarkable that a superstar that had been so heavily jeered since his debut could become the most popular superstar at the time of his Summerslam main event against Austin for the title. His face turn brought about one of the most special nights of his career when he captured the belt for a second time in his hometown of Pittsburgh, but soon Angle would revert back to his nefarious ways, because while he is very adept at playing the good guy, his brash and petty villainy always seemed to come more comfortably for Angle in the early 2000s.
