WWE: 10 Legitimate Tough Guys

2. Alberto Del Rio

Alberto Del Rio Del Rio is the real deal, nobody on the full time roster could beat him in a real fight. Before joining the WWE, Del Rio went by the name Dos Caras Jnr. He appeared as a huge star in Mexican pro wrestling, and also fought for real in MMA at the same time. With Nine wins and Five losses, Caras's MMA record was certainly decent. He won Two of those fights by knockout and Seven by submission, showing that he can pose danger on several fronts. Caras's most famous MMA bout came in 2003 in Japanese organization PRIDE. Caras faced off against Mirko Cro Cop, at the time one of the best MMA fighters in the world and a future UFC combatant. Caras lost that bout from a high leg kick to the head in just 46 seconds of the first round, but the very fact that he even made it to that level of MMA tells you everything you need to know about his toughness. Few pro wrestlers could ever even last the training camp of an MMA fight. Alberto could have also enjoyed success as an Olympian. He is a legitimate Mexican National Wrestling freestyle champion. In 1997 he placed Third at the World Junior Championships, and also won a medal at the pan american games. The man known by his real name of Alberto Rodruguez would have gone to the 2000 Sydney Olympics, but due to a lack of funding there was to be no Mexican wrestling team at the games. All in all, one genuine tough guy and a real warrior.
